Dr. Maza is invited as a speaker at the UAB, where he shares BHI’s cervical cancer preventable model.
After the WHO’s call for action, cervical cancer has improved globally. Many countries implemented cervical cancer elimination strategies through vaccination, screening and treatment of cervical precancer. A main challenge is the shortage of providers in the public cervical cancer screening and treatment workforce. BHI trains health promoters, nurses and physicians in cervical cancer prevention to save the lives of underserved women in low- and middle-income countries.
