Our Mission
Through research and field-work in Latin America, Asia, and the Caribbean, BHI is creating a scalable blueprint of sustainable strategies that can be applied in communities throughout the world to prevent, identify, and treat cervical cancer.
Aligned with the World Health Organization’s mission to eliminate cervical cancer globally, BHI’s team of experts focuses on research, community education, outreach, and policy. Our research and implementation transcends borders and has compelled us to find solutions to the recent public health emergency and to address the needs of our most vulnerable communities at home and abroad. The current COVID-19 pandemic provides an opportunity to build laboratory infrastructure for SARS-CoV-2 testing, which can also be used for other types of testing, including HPV. This infrastructure is critical to cervical cancer elimination.
Our Vision
To create and implement cutting-edge research, treatment, and advocacy so that no woman dies of cervical cancer.
