Basic Health International is a non-profit organization with a mission is to eradicate cervical cancer and improve women's health in Latin America.
Since BHI was founded, over 8000 women have been screened for cervical cancer. But BHI does more than just screen women for cervical cancer. We also train physicians in low-cost, low-tech methods of cervical cancer screening, such as VIA and cryotherapy, conduct relevant research, and provide policy guidance to the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.
